About Board Breaking For A Cure:

DOVER, NH – Matt Randall’s Black Belt Academies of Dover are launching a major charity fundraising campaign called “Board Breaking for a Cure” to raise money for MyBreastCancerSupport.org which is a program that supports victims of breast cancer and their families.  The goal is to raise over $5000, all of which will be donated at Apple Harvest Festival in October.

“Our academies have always been involved in community activities.  We actively promote the spirit of volunteerism with our students,” says Senior Master Instructor, Matthew Randall.  “This year we thought we should get the entire student body of both academies together for a project that we can all get in to.  We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer in one form or another.  Families affected by this terrible illness need support of all kinds. This is a cause that we can all rally around and identify with.”

Board Breaking for a Cure works this way…our students and staff will be setting up tables at local events and in local businesses asking people to purchase a board that they will decorate in memory of a victim or in celebration of a survivor.  We hope to have 1000 boards or more decorated and raise at least $5000.  These boards will be held until Apple Harvest Festival in Dover where all of our students will break the boards for thousands of spectators to watch.  The breaking of these boards, with everyone’s memorials, represents our passion to break the hold that cancer has and beat it into submission the best way we know how.

There are two ways that local businesses can help us break boards for a cure.  First, if you have a space where we can set up a table of a few hours to raise funds and awareness, please contact us.  Second, while our goal is to raise $5000 in the sale of boards, we are also looking for other businesses, who are passionate about beating cancer, to join us by matching fundraising efforts.   Any businesses or individuals who are interested in making matching donations or helping us with table space are invited to contact Matt Randall’s Black Belt Academy at 603.743.6500.  Let’s work together to double or triple our donation this worthy cause.

There are also two ways that individuals can help us break boards for a cure.
First, stop by one of our academies to decorate a board or visit www.BoardBreakingForACure.org to see where our tables will be set up.
Second, make a secure donation online through our website.
